Project Overview
About This Project
The survey utilised a Seafloor Systems HyDrone twin-hull remote-controlled watercraft equipped with high-resolution sonar and GNSS positioning technology. The system enabled DS&P to systematically map the underwater terrain, capturing accurate depth and positional data across the survey area.
This project demonstrates DS&P’s capability to combine traditional surveying expertise with advanced hydrographic, GNSS and remote-sensing technologies to deliver precise spatial data in challenging environments.

Outcome
The Result
The resulting bathymetric dataset provides a detailed representation of the riverbed, supporting engineering design, assessment and planning where accurate underwater information is critical. The use of a remotely operated platform also allowed the survey to be undertaken with minimal impact and reduced exposure to the risks associated with working on or around the water.
